Power Tynan shortlisted for prestigious Young Leaders in Finance Awards

Power Tynan has been shortlisted for the prestigious Young Leaders in Finance Awards, named as finalists in the following categories:

  • Graduate Program of the Year
  • Education & Training Program of the Year
  • Innovator of the Year – Nathan Smith
  • Public Relations/Communications Professional (In-house) of the Year – Lauren Guymer

While Power Tynan are known for their taxation and accounting expertise, the team offer a full range of services, including succession planning, business improvement, corporate advisory, financial planning, business intelligence and data analysis.

“We are doing a lot in the IT space: getting client’s systems up and running, configuring the systems to talk to each other, doing the data analytics. This all leads to greater advisory because we’ve got access to the right information,” said Power Tynan CEO Amanda Kenafake.

“It’s no longer just about the numbers, we are changing the conversations we are having and the way we engage with our clients to ensure we are looking at their business and personal cycle in its entirety.”

In its inaugural year, the Young Leaders in Finance Awards, which covers 25 categories, recognises and supports the development of a new generation of leaders in finance, who are driving change and helping their companies reach new milestones.

“This awards event is an Australian-first program that truly pulls together all areas of financial services under one umbrella, to celebrate the emerging talent within the industry,” said Momentum Media’s head of events, Jim Hall.

“The winners represent the next generation of mentors and leaders across the Australian financial sector.”
Power Tynan CEO Amanda Kenafake said she was humbled by the nomination.

“Receiving recognition for our excellent contribution to the Darling Downs and Granite Belt areas reinforces the strength of our team and our brand in connecting with the community and engaging with our clients,” she said.

“Due to our scholarship program, our team member ratio within the firm is highly slanted to the under 30 age group, with 50% being in this bracket. We harness the innovation of these younger team members, with the aim of attracting like minded people to our business with aligned values and understanding.”

The winners will be announced at a black-tie awards dinner on Friday, 22 June at the Hyatt Regency, Sydney.
